Where to try Lebanese food?
A great excuse to get together and create moments over food.

Raise your hand if you love Lebanese food as much as we do here at Barrio México. This Middle Eastern cuisine features many of our favorite dishes, like hummus, tabbouleh, and a good falafel.
We know their culture is similar to ours, as they also value the ritual of sharing meals at the table with family and friends—a great excuse to get together and create moments through food and good company.
So, we set out to find the best Lebanese food spots in the city to recommend this culinary experience and take you on a gastronomic trip straight to Lebanon.

Our first stop is Shawarma a small spot, but one serving the most traditional, homemade Lebanese food you’ll find in Guadalajara. It’s located on Av. Inglaterra, across from the train tracks near Av. Patria.
This place is famous for its namesake beef shawarmas, and they are a true delight. You can also try their grape leaves stuffed with rice and meat, paired with an extraordinary labneh (strained yogurt with olive oil) for the perfect combination of tangy notes and juicy meat.
You can't leave without trying their hummus with meat and savoring it with pita bread; it’s so addictive you won’t be able to stop eating it during your visit.

One of our favorites for its cultural and gastronomic history is Suleyma. This place is a city must-visit when it comes to Lebanese food prepared with so much love, especially at their new location, which you are going to love.
A unique, open-air space to enjoy day or night, paired with a great cocktail and live music in the background. It’s perfect for a date, a meal with friends, or a family outing.
Suleyma offers authentic Lebanese food, as its founder is originally from Lebanon and his journey brought him here to share his culture through food. We recommend trying their traditional hummus or the one with meat, which is incredible. They also have a vegan and healthier version with portobello.
The house specialty is Man’ushe—or "pizzas" for the friends—which will be a true explosion and combination of new flavors in your mouth. Try the “Farouk” with labneh, meat, cheese, and cherry tomatoes, or if you prefer intense flavors, the “Fadua” with hummus, meat, egg, and onion. We’re sure that whichever you choose, it will leave you wanting more.

Our third spot is one already well-known and frequented by locals whenever they have a craving for Lebanese food. Yes, we’re talking about Labne. It’s the perfect blend of Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine, so you can kill two birds with one stone here by trying a little bit of everything.
We recommend ordering small appetizer portions to share with the whole table so you can gradually explore these Middle Eastern flavors. If this is your first time trying them, some flavors might be unfamiliar, so this way you can figure out which ones you like best.
How does a falafel burger or a duck or lamb shawarma sound? They are delicious, and the meat is incredibly flavorful. If you prefer something more traditional, they have pork or chicken versions that never disappoint. Also, be sure to ask about their vegan options—they have something for everyone here.
For the summer heat, try the tabbouleh (a classic Levantine salad); it’s incredibly refreshing and pairs perfectly with pita bread and jocoque. It’s a delicious addition to any meal.

Last but certainly not least on our list, we bring you our fourth spot: the Hotel Baruk. It offers one of the best Lebanese food buffets in the city, available Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 6 p.m.
Enjoy a variety of authentic dishes and let the food transport you to the heart of Lebanon. At a very affordable price per person, you can take the culinary trip to the Middle East you’ve been dreaming of. Enjoy and sample all their options, such as meat empanadas, hummus, stuffed grape leaves, tabbouleh, stuffed squash, labneh, pizzas, and much more.
Located in the Chapalita neighborhood, very close to Casa Ixaya, we recommend checking their social media in advance to plan your visit and confirm pricing. You’re going to love this experience in the city.
Now that we’ve shared these extraordinary places to try authentic Lebanese food, you have no excuse not to rush out and enjoy these unfamiliar yet exquisite flavors.
Tell us about your experience at any of these spots on our social media, or share another Lebanese place you know so we can add it to our list.
Talk to you soon, ciao!
