The 2021 restoration preserved the essentials: the original ironwork, the door behind the gate, the layout of the central courtyard, the double-height ground floor and the kitchen's half-arch window.

It was born in 1898 as Colonia Porfirio Díaz. It changed its name with the Revolution, slept for half a century and woke up again house by house. Today Time Out names it the coolest neighborhood in the world: 128 years stacked into French-style mansions, Art Deco and Mexican modernism.
By day: galleries, specialty coffee and chef-driven kitchens. As evening falls: a nightlife that never dims along Chapultepec and Américas.
Casa Kali was perfect for our bachelorette weekend. We were a group of 22 and were able to stay in all 11 rooms, each with its own bathroom. Breakfast was included, there are restaurants, coffee shops and bars within walking distance, and I felt very safe with the two keypad-coded doors. It was literally perfect!

My whole family loved it. If you're visiting Guadalajara, I recommend renting the entire house for your family.

Casa Kali is spectacular, much better than it looks in the photos. We were a big group of girlfriends and each of us practically got her own room and bathroom. The common spaces are very comfortable and the bathrooms had everything we needed. The house feels very safe and check-in was very easy. I highly recommend it.
