It was born in 1898 as Colonia Porfirio Díaz. It changed its name with the Revolution, slept for half a century and woke up again house by house. Today Time Out names it the coolest neighborhood in the world: 128 years stacked into French-style mansions, Art Deco and Mexican modernism.
By day: galleries, specialty coffee and chef-driven kitchens. As evening falls: a nightlife that never dims along Chapultepec and Américas.
The place is beautiful. It's a whole house with several rooms that open onto a central plunge pool, and the rooftop was our main gathering spot. It's well worth it for small get-togethers where the goal is to enjoy the house to the fullest.
Mexico City, Mexico
A wonderful place for a large group. The location is perfect for walking to both the Historic Center and the bars and restaurants of Colonia Americana. The rooftop terrace was gorgeous. Antonieta and her staff were very responsive. I'd come back without a doubt.
San Antonio, Texas
The space is much better than the photos show; it takes your breath away from the moment you walk in. A prime location, close to the best restaurants in the area. The rooms are cool and the decor is unique and cozy. I wouldn't hesitate to come back.
