Who said vegan food isn't delicious?
Being vegan doesn't mean eating boring food.

We know that being vegan in Guadalajara can be quite an adventure, but forget about that typical boring salad on your next night out. We’re going to share some vegan gems that will have you rushing to try them—even if you aren't vegan.
The city is filling up with creative spots where green and fit food is becoming an important factor to consider when deciding where to meet up for your next meal out.
Being vegan doesn't mean eating boring food; it’s quite the opposite: tacos that rival the traditional ones, guilt-free desserts, and coffees that are a warm hug for the soul—all with a vegan seal of approval, of course.

For many, it’s a lifestyle, but perhaps these recommendations will lead others to try something different and delicious. We’re sharing three places that prove eating consciously can also be a delicious choice.

LA FLACA
Consolidated as one of the best vegan restaurants in the city, our list starts with La Flaca. It is known by many as the place "where the meat that isn't meat tastes like meat" since their plant-based meat tacos are made with fresh ingredients that highlight their delicious flavor.
This vegan/vegetarian space combines creativity and flavor in all of its carefully designed dishes. Their menu challenges every prejudice about "meatless" food, giving great recipes the chance to show us that one doesn't have to be at odds with the other.
The absolute favorites are the enmoladas stuffed with vegan ricotta, tofu, and plantain, smothered in poblano-style mole—they’ll blow your mind with so many flavors in one dish. Plus, you can try their battered cauliflower wings or their quesa-birrias served with a delicious consommé. To top it all off, don't forget to order the tortilla soup; you won't regret it.

AMET
This little spot is one of the most promising in the Guadalajara vegan food scene, especially when it comes to AMET. This little spot plant-based has captured the hearts of many fans of this lifestyle.
Who would have thought you could enjoy flautas, tamales, sopes, and pozole, veggie-style? Well, once a month, they bring you Mexican comfort food that’s perfect for vegans and vegetarians. Everything is made entirely from plants without any animal products, so we recommend keeping an eye on their social media so you don't miss the next dinner night.
Located inside Jardín Americana, right near our homes, this spot offers a super relaxed, picnic-style vibe where you can explore their varied and delicious menu from Thursday to Sunday. And, of course, we highly recommend their Orange "No-Chicken" or their "No-Wings" with veggies, which you can pair with a variety of sides to suit your taste.

CASA MUDRA
If you’re looking for a space that features live jazz, delicious coffee, an art gallery, and a veggie restaurant all in one, Casa Mudra is exactly what you need. While it isn't 100% vegan, they offer a very appealing menu that includes both vegetarian options and dishes for those who eat everything.
The venue also hosts live music on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, creating an intimate jazz atmosphere that makes it the perfect spot for dinner or a cultural outing with soul and a great vibe.
If you want a solid recommendation for what to try here, order the Aztec cake made with cheeses, poblano strips, and corn, or the country-style gringa with a flour tortilla stuffed with a mushroom and fungus stew and marinated tofu. And, of course, you can thank us later for these great finds.
Exploring vegan spots in Guadalajara means discovering flavors and dishes that offer more creative ways to eat consciously. These places remind us that being vegan isn't a limitation on good food, but rather an opportunity to reinvent gastronomy.
