A summer without ice cream just isn't summer.

Who can resist one of the world's favorite desserts?

There is definitely no better companion for enjoying the summer than ice cream. Who can resist one of the world's favorite desserts?

The heat is best fought with these foolproof sweet tactics, full of flavor and the feelings of happiness that a scoop of ice cream brings us.

You can look for artisanal options or the classics that never fail, but this summer, we're eating ice cream like calories don't exist.

This time, we’ll recommend some ice cream shops that are a true must must-visit in the city during the heat and the holidays.

      CARAVELLÉ.

The first—and one of our favorites—is the place we usually head to when our ice cream supply starts running low. Caravellé is a mandatory stop: an ice cream shop created by Carolina Barragán, a chef who stands out for creating artisanal ice cream using local ingredients.

She is characterized by, and inspired above all by, the pantries of Mexican families, using local and traditional flavors to create innovative and authentic ice cream.

Something we love is that their flavors rotate every week, and they always surprise us with original combinations like lychee, sugar-free matcha, melon with thyme, mimosa, or fig with cardamom. Delicious!

             MANDI GELATERÍA.

If you prefer the classic and traditional, this ice cream shop is everything you need for those Italian cravings.

Their specialty is artisanal gelato and sorbets with classic and seasonal flavors. You can taste Italian authenticity in every bite, with a smooth, creamy texture... truly worthy of Italy.

One of our favorite flavors is the Affogato, a classic from the Italian region, but we also recommend trying the dulce de leche, cheesecake, Nutella, croccantino, and tiramisu. Trust us, we’re saving you the trip with every craving for a good, traditional gelato.

For lovers of unexpected ice cream and authentic flavors, this shop is the perfect spot for dessert. It stands out for offering local, inventive flavors that go beyond the typical.

Here you can find ice cream in flavors like Yakult, Tonicol, hibiscus or mango with mezcal, Danonino, toasted marshmallow, and cantarito—a whole variety of combinations that are updated weekly.

But their star offering for this summer—and one you can't miss to cool off from the heat—is the tejuino ice cream, served with a few scoops of sorbet, salt, lime, and accompanied by a “kawamita” as they like to call it.

After sharing some of our favorite spots to grab ice cream in the city, you’ll realize it’s not just a dessert, but an entire experience. From choosing the flavor that resonates with you that day, savoring it slowly, sharing the moment with friends, a partner, or just yourself, to being left with that great taste in your mouth and a happy soul thanks to a scoop of ice cream.

Which ones would you recommend we visit this summer?

See you soon.
