“Let art flourish from our land.”
Highlights from Art Weekend 2025 in Guadalajara.

Art filled the city this past weekend, as one of the year's most anticipated events, Art Weekend, took place from January 30th to February 2nd.
We love that Guadalajara is increasingly becoming the ideal stage for these types of cultural events—whether in fashion, gastronomy, music, or beyond—with this weekend standing out in the contemporary art scene.

Guadalajara Art Weekend aims to bring together diverse offerings from galleries, museums, designers, and art spaces across the city, specifically boosting emerging projects as a platform to promote both the art and the culinary scene that make our city unique.
In this 2025 edition, we enjoyed various exhibitions, workshops, events, and installations—some exclusive and others open to the public—including happenings at different spots throughout the city.

This year's theme is “Let art bloom from our land,” encouraging artistic expression in every corner of our country, a territory rich in tradition, talent, and knowledge passed down through the years.
Let’s take a tour through some of the highlights from this weekend’s schedule to relive the atmosphere, experiences, and enjoyment of these days filled with such artistic personality and innovation across various spaces.

Located on the second level of the platform, this exhibition showcases various pieces from the Suro Ceramics Factory, aiming to foster local talent, as they were produced by artists from Guadalajara.

ARSENAL GALLERY
“The sun drew light from the stones.”
Some time ago, Adrián Guerrero, the artist behind this project, poured all his curiosity into deconstructing and analyzing, step by step, the reference to José Clemente Orozco, “Mexican People.”
The final result is these original reflections, based on his philosophical contemplation, experience, and architectural knowledge.

“As the clouds parted, the sun drew light from the stones, iridescent with color, drinking water from the earth, playing with the air, giving a shine to the leaves the air was playing with.” -Juan Rulfo.
Curated by Juvenal Urzúa, You can't miss this space, full of bold ideas showcased through its exhibitions at Arsenal Galería, located at 2955 Montevideo, in the Providencia neighborhood. Visiting hours: Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

MANIFESTO
"SELF ....ISH"
Do we really know ourselves?
This is the question that inspires and kicks off this collective composition, created in this space filled with art and talent by 8 Mexicans and 2 Spaniards, who share their visual take on introspection, sentimentality, and progress.

Here is a glimpse of what went down at the opening of “Self ish,” an exhibition about loneliness and isolation, viewed as a refuge, revealing the fragmentation of human identity through a focus on realism and dreamlike states, as described by the exhibition's curator, Consuelo Gaytán.
What are you waiting for to experience Manifesto? It is an art gallery that creates this space to connect, reflect, and question one's own existence.
The exhibition is open to the public Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., until February 28.
