My body, my identity, my pride.

The most colorful month of the year is here. A time to raise awareness, celebrate, and honor diversity.

The most colorful month of the year is here, and that can only mean one thing: June has begun, and we are officially in the mood for Pride Month.A time to raise awareness, celebrate, and honor diversity.

Culture, resilience, and joy come together to powerfully celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, which transforms our streets, our stories, and our ways of loving throughout this month.

Guadalajara has established itself as one of the most important cities for this community in Latin America.

May this month be a true invitation to recognize one another, embrace each other, and continue building a freer, fairer, and more diverse city for everyone.

Here are a few fun facts you might not have known about the LGBTQ+ community:

· Guadalajara is considered the gay capital of Mexico. Although Mexico City is visually larger, our city takes the title thanks to its fascinating nightlife, inclusive cultural spaces, and history of resistance.

· The "Perla Tapatía" was a pioneer in thePride Paradesince 1983, becoming a true benchmark for national activism.

· The Americana neighborhood is one of the most popular and safe places for the community, featuring bars, cafes, clubs, shows, and more.

· Our city is a hotbed for queer talent, serving as a home to many renowned artists.

· In 2016, Jalisco approved same-sex marriage, positioning itself as one of the first states in the country to advance toward legal equality.
