5 ideas for where to stay in Barrio México.

Located in one of the coolest neighborhoods in Guadalajara—and according to Time Out magazine in 2022, “The coolest neighborhood in the world.”

La Americana has become one of the most authentic corners of the city, featuring a blend of Art Deco and Neoclassical architecture. It is filled with emerging local artists who adorn the surroundings with talent and plenty of art.

Restored historic homes, tree-lined streets, nightlife, gastronomy, urban art spots, galleries, museums… A taste of everything you have at your fingertips, just a few steps away when you stay with us at Barrio México.

We currently have 8 restored historic homes, distributed throughout the Americana, Santa Tere, and Chapalita neighborhoods.

Three of the best areas in the city to stay, thanks to their proximity to Downtown Guadalajara, their strategic location on major thoroughfares for easy travel, and the entire culinary scene you'll find surrounding our homes.

But did you think visiting us was only an option when you come to Guadalajara as a tourist? No way! So, we’re sharing five reasons why and for what you should book Barrio México.

.CELEBRATE YOUR BIRTHDAY OR HOST A PRIVATE EVENT:

It’s the ideal place if you’re planning to celebrate with family and friends in a spot as lovely as BMX. Our spacious rooms allow you to host your closest friends and family, avoiding the need for travel after a great night of partying. Having your loved ones gathered in one space to celebrate your birthday will make all the planning worth it.

.PHOTO SHOOT FOR COUPLES OR GETTING READY:

There is nothing more romantic than a restored historic home decorated with charm. And what better than having 8 house options as the perfect backdrop? With privacy and a unique atmosphere for an unforgettable day like your wedding day.

Every corner of our homes has been designed by Mexican architects, highlighting details with mosaics, green areas, patios, open terraces, and spaces filled with natural light, which give each one its own personality. You can hold your couple's photo shoot in one of our spectacular homes or gather with your friends during the getting ready to enjoy your big day from the very first minute in the company of your closest loved ones.

.HOST A WORKSHOP OR BRAND EVENT:

By renting our homes in their entirety, you can use the facilities to hold a workshop on our open-air terraces or patios, especially during the summer. We have beautiful spaces that invite you to make the most of every corner for photos, workshops, or team-building activities with your staff.

Renting the entire house ensures privacy, intimacy, and security for your guests. Additionally, we provide furniture for events of up to 15 people, including tables and chairs.

   .WEEKEND GETAWAYS WITH FRIENDS:

During the summer, we’re all looking for a pool, relaxation, and a tan. That’s why our houses with pools, such as Casa Kali, Casa BlancoandCasa Morelos are perfect for renting for the whole weekend to unplug with your friends.

You can whip up delicious meals in our kitchens, pair them with a few cold beers, and enjoy catching up. What could be better than everyone staying in the same house, with spacious rooms for everyone? It’s a fantastic plan!

.HOST YOUR CIVIL WEDDING OR INTIMATE EVENT:

This is one of the most authentic ways to live the full experience at BMX. Our beautiful, warm spaces can be the perfect setting for your civil wedding or an intimate event.‍

If your wedding has a contemporary style with an artistic design, we recommend Casa Ixaya. Its interior courtyard can accommodate approximately 60 guests, and the best part is that you can stay right there with your family…!So you can be the last ones to leave the dance floor!

         IMPORTANT:

To use our houses at 100% capacity for these experiences, you must rent the entire property.
